New Generation visiting St Augustine, Florida - Pt 1

As a photographer I have been asked to capture so many special moments and events.

This one was extra fun.

To capture a new generation exploring the oldest town in the USA for the first time.
St Augustine, Florida has a rich history and so much to see.

But when someone has family roots there and has spent most of their childhood summers in these streets, the memories and stories are even more special and personal.

So while visiting from Tennessee for Spring Break, she asked me to accompany her as she took her 3 young children for their first ever visit to this amazing historic town.

We explored the side streets.

Enjoyed the street entertainment

Enjoyed the view with a little help.

And rested our feet and watched the boats.

And that was all before lunch...

Pt 2 of this fun day was mom's favorite beach.

Crescent Beach
St Aug, Florida

A little peak at behind the scenes, mom giving them the
"don't get your pretty clothes wet" talk.

And of course they all listened so well.

After getting their fill of fun, sun and surf,

Rinsed off under the showers and changed in the parking lot...As you do at the beach.

Then it was time to take off back home. <3

WILD CAKE SMASH

Turning One is a big deal...And what better way to celebrate than getting a little WILD

This guy was already walking, before his session,
allowing us to catch him stomping around like Max, and it was amazing

He also knew just what to do with this gorgeous cake his very talented mommy made for him.

By the end of his session he proved he truly was

KING OF THE WILD THINGS.

Easter in the studio 2022

I love setting up Easter Minis every year. After all, I officially launched my photography business with an Easter Mini in 2012...Yup that's right, this was my 10th Anniversary Mini. <3

Each year they are a little different, but always have my style. In fact like my Christmas sets, they often book out before I have even worked out my design. My regulars trust me and know my style.

This spring we also happen to add a new family member Blu. So she got to be this years fluffy model.
Though her and my faithful fluffy bunny did not really see eye to eye lol.

The thing I love most about doing these shoots...Is the regulars.

And the new regulars.

Watching not just the kids grow up, but also watching families grow too.

Faces I have known since their newborn sessions.

And others that have been with me since my early years and are now growing way to fast.

Makes my heart beyond happy to spend time capturing future memories with families that have giving me so many sweet ones of my own to look back on.

Beautiful Family, Beautiful Light

Love this family and LOVE this location..

I can always find pretty light here no matter the time of day, though early afternoon is always the best of it, making it the perfect spot for family sessions.

A variety of  backgrounds all with in just a short walk of each other.

And you can take a little time out for the kids to let off a little steam.

Then back to the serious business of capturing these sweet boys smiles.

Little side note. This guy here was the first newborn baby I ever photographed. I have loved being able to watch him grow up before my lens. <3

Spring Lamb, Wildflowers and Outdoor Church

On a hot and humid spring day in Florida, between thunderstorms, magic happened...

Spring 2021 on the farm was a bumper crop of lambs...and 2 very special little boys needed to be bottle raised....So when you add very sweet and gentle kids to the mix and a field full of wild flowers, a once in a lifetime (never to be repeated) photo session happened.

I normal do not do photo sessions using live stock, children and animals are unpredictable. Plus these kind of session can be very stressful for the animals...But since Butter Bean the lamb is a bottle raised baby, he is very used to being handled and loved on by children well known at our farm.

With a super wet spring, the white wildflowers in the side field put on a lovely show and created the perfect location for our "Outdoor Church"

What better place to create memories, and thank the Lord for an abundance of blessings.

Psalms 23:1 - 6

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
